Mother's Day Preview Event at Loews Regency New York

Mother's Day Preview Event at Loews Regency New York

As one of the Flavor Partners for Loews Regency in New York, we joined them in hosting a Mother’s Day preview event in April to gear up for the big day.

At The Regency Bar & Grill, guests were able to enjoy delicious samples of the special Mother’s Day brunch menu items, and kids had a chance to decorate their own Bon Vivant petits fours and petit cakes.

It was such a fun and creative event for everyone who attended, and we're so happy we could be a part of it all.

5 Reasons Why Petit Cakes are the New Must-Haves for any Celebration

5 Reasons Why Petit Cakes are the New Must-Haves for any Celebration

Whether you are celebrating a special birthday, a grand wedding, a small dinner-party, or some other occasion, here are 5 excellent reasons to have New York's best petits fours and petit cakes to ensure you have a fabulously festive time.

  1. You can forget the knife!
They conveniently come in perfect individually-portioned serving sizes. No need for a knife and no need to cut the cake.

  2. They stay fresh for 10 days!
The outer fondant glaze along with the layer of marzipan seals and protects the moist, liqueur-laced cakes from exposure to air, which is the primary cause for cakes going stale.

  3. You can try a variety of flavors instead of just one large single flavored cake.
Small individual cakes means you can try more than one flavor.  Additionally, there is an exciting assortment of flavors such as Lavender Bloom and Lemon Zest, that will satisfy varying palates.

  4. No cleaning up.
Individual pieces means no mess from cutting nor any cleaning up afterwards.

  5. You can have a cake all to yourself!
Then there is the charm of having a pretty cake all to yourself! Moreover, in the unusual chance that you would prefer to save it for later, the conveniently packaged cake can be easily taken home too.

Bon Appétit and let the good times roll!

A Victorian Era Wedding

A Victorian Era Wedding

Richly hued flower bouquets, gilded chandeliers, velvet and lace adorned tables are some of the details from a Victorian themed wedding shoot by Faye & Renee, with whom we had the pleasure of collaborating. The gorgeous details from this inspired shoot have now been featured on Knots Villa.

Presented on the dessert table are Bon Vivant petit cakes decorated in the Gold Rococo gold Sugar Blossom styles.  A two-tiered celebration cake draped in gold sugar lace makes a central focal point alongside the beautiful Victorian floral and crystal decorations in the vibrantly colored hall in the James Ward mansion.

A perfect winter afternoon pick-me-up

A perfect winter afternoon pick-me-up

Whether you are a fan of coffee or not, we are convinced you will love the newest addition to our selection of petit cakes: Coffee Cream.

Enrobed in coffee fondant, the base vanilla cake is first soaked in an espresso syrup, then layered with a luscious coffee buttercream. There is a smooth balance of coffee, chocolate, and almond elements to satisfy varying palates.

What is the secret to obtaining a great coffee flavor? A key element is the use of fresh ground espresso powder mixed with dark sugar caramel. More on this excellent coffee flavoring to be shared on this blog.

For now, we do think the Coffee Cream petit cake would be a perfect winter afternoon pick-me-up and especially nice with a cup of hot cocoa.
