Almond Dacquoise with Hazelnut Cream 8 inches, 10-12 servings (Pick Up and Hand Delivery Only)

$96.00

The dacquoise is a delightful French dessert known for its light, airy texture and creamy fillings.

While the exact origin is shrouded in mystery,  the name “dacquoise” (“of Dax” in French)  suggests the origin in Dax, southwestern France. Other legends suggest that the dacquoise was first created for the tables of the French court, possibly during the reign of Louis XIII, an era also known for its elaborate culinary creations.

The Bon Vivant Dacquoise cake is a delicious play of texture and flavor with a light, airy, almond sponge cake with a luscious hazelnut buttercream. A sprinkling of almond praline adds another layer of nutty texture. The expertly scallop-piped cake is a “Marie-Antoinette” dream with its sugar-dusted almond slivers and delicate  sugar roses, presenting a most fancy cake for any occasion.
