The Quest for Quiet - January 2017

Paying attention to places that provide a peaceful atmosphere

It is like stepping back in time, when true, quality ingredients mattered, and providores took pride in the smallest of details. Bon Vivant feels like a safe, slow, haven, while the world still races by outside.

Find the Magic.001.jpg
Maya Hormis 1a.jpg

At our core we believe -

The power of the individual spirit to transform, to achieve. Whatever you desire - the highest glory, the most incredible love, unbelievable happiness - is within your reach, if you know you desire it and seek it.

Bon Vivant New York is  the culmination of such a pursuit - the desire to participate, or rather, to thrive, giving yourself fully to what you love.
What is your joy.

Inspiration leads to an idea - to live richly and find the magic

In well publicized commencement speech at Stanford University, Steve Jobs once spoke these wise words:

Jobs.001.jpg

Inspired to find work that deeply resonated with her, Maya Hormis, embarked on an exploratory period leaving a 17-year corporate career to pursue her passions. The result, which included a year of intense study at Le Cordon Bleu, was, Maya recalls, one of the most exhilarating experiences of her life.

There was no turning back. Maya returned to New York determined to live only pursuing what brings true happiness.

The idea - to live richly and find the magic - is the founding principle of Bon Vivant.

Quiet, peaceful space to enjoy -

Bon Vivant invites you to a quiet, peaceful space, away from a maddening pace, to enjoy a pretty moment, a piece of delicate cake, a cup of aromatic café, where one slows down, cherishes the beauty and finds the enchantment.
