The Tarte Tropézienne, also known as "La Tarte de Saint-Tropez", is a delightful dessert pastry with origins as charming as its taste.

It starts with a sweet, buttery, brioche as the base cake. The magic, however, is truly with the deliciously rich cream within.  Bon Vivant’s special mousseline cream is a melange of two luxurious fillings. There's a thick crème pâtissière for a smooth, rich taste with a lighter buttercream to add a touch of sweetness and airiness.

A sprinkle of pearl sugar on top, adds a light crunch and a touch of sparkle to the Tarte Tropézienne.

The legend behind the Tarte Tropezienne is that  a Polish confectioner named Alexandre Micka created this pastry in the 1950s, inspired by a family recipe. Actress Brigitte Bardot, filming a movie in Saint-Tropez, became a fan, and the Tarte Tropézienne's fame soared.
